BMGS has become State Champions in the F1 in Schools competition for the second successive year!
This year two Year 9 teams – Nebula and Thrust Vector - reached the State Finals, and both teams performed magnificently!
Thrust Vector secured awards for Best Engineering – CAD and Best Team Portfolio on their way to overall victory, earning a place in the National Final next March. Nebula also performed strongly, winning Best Verbal Presentation and the Innovation Award. Both teams contested the competition with excellent sportsmanship and enthusiasm.
Thrust Vector will be aiming to improve on the incredible result of 3rd in Australia by BMGS team Clutch Control earlier this year. These fantastic results reinforce BMGS’ growing reputation as a leader in STEAM education.
Congratulations Mr Michael Laws (Design & Technology teacher), Team Nebula (Mia Brischetto, Diya Kapoor, Mirah Larkin and Phoebe Mason) and Team Thrust Vector (Zac Burgess, Matthew Foster, Fin Hastie and Nicholas Hayes) on your fantastic achievements this week.
Onwards to the National Finals (Queensland) in March 2019!
