After three days of exciting and tense competition, the BMGS team Clutch Control (pictured above) were announced the NSW Development Class Champions!
In addition to their first place, they also received awards for Fastest Lap, Fastest Grand Prix, Knockout Champions, Best Engineered, Best Engineered CAD, Best Manufactured Car and the Innovation Award.
Our other Year 9 team - Streamline Racing - also enjoyed success, winning the Best Marketing Award, together with an Encouragement Award.
This near clean sweep represents the strong growth in STEM at BMGS in recent years, as well as a group of students who are both talented and dedicated.
Clutch Control will now be representing NSW in the National Final in Tasmania in March, 2018. They have already secured the mentorship of the WSU Solar Car team and have high hopes of winning through to a Singapore World Final.
