2016 F1 in Schools Competition - BMGS in Race to Finals

Four Year 10 students competing under the team name of High Caliber Racing, competed at the Western Sydney Regional Final of the competition.  In an outstanding result, their car produced the fastest lap time on the day and sealed their win in the Professional Senior Class of the competition.

They have now qualified for the State Finals to be held in November at UWS Werrington.

The team also had to produce a Design Folio and attend an interview with a professional engineer, who made some very encouraging comments on the standard of work produced by the students.

The team consists of Jude Danta (Design  Engineer), Zachary McLoughlin (Marketing Manager), Declan Smith (Manufacturing Engineer) and Maya Mishra (Team Manager), and the project is overseen by Design & Technology teacher, Mr. Michael Laws.

This is the second successive year in which a BMGS team has featured in the finals. The team’s campaign can be followed on their Facebook page via  www.facebook.com/high.caliber.bmgs
