BMGS Theatresports Team Reaches Grand Final

Congratulations to the Senior Theatresports Team who participated in the 2016 State Grand Final of the NSW Schools' Theatresports Challenge.

During Term 2, the School community was tracking the success of the Intermediate and Senior Theatresports teams, who both reached the Semi-Final rounds of the NSW Schools' Theatresports Challenge, a statewide, knock-out competition, which this year involved 120 schools.

In a fantastic result, the Senior Team of Year 12 students Jade Beavis, Samuel Wilson, Duncan Mackay, Belal Trad and Conor Tufrey qualified for the State Finals, which were held at the Enmore Theatre in June.

BMGS was one of only nine schools remaining from the elimination rounds to contest four tensely exciting rounds of completely improvised theatre games.  Only a handful of points separated the teams throughout the Grand Final and, although our team did not finish in the top three places, they have maintained an enviable record of BMGS teams who have featured in the Grand Finals of this competition in ten of the past eleven years.
